Hello, everyone!
I'm back! Well, obviously. I haven't been that busy but there are quite many things to do with our daughter at her school since this is the final class week before the "Samana Santa" break which starts next week. I have been walking for MILES if you stretch it since she starts school, meeting her at lunch break and bringing her back home, four trips a day although the school is only about 800m away. I enjoy it and to walk actually except the part it is always so hot. It is not Winchester! So sometimes it feels nice to have a break and to just be in a shade for a little bit.
Blimey! I was not complaining, was only trying to get my way round to introduce you to the next recipe. :-)

Apropose "so hot", (here I go!) the drink today is Salted Lime Drink should sooth your soul, not only that it tastes so refreshingly good, it also brings benefits to your body because of the abundant minerals that the salt use to make the lemon provides. It tastes sour with a strong hint of salt, tiny bit bitter yet sweet. Interesting!
When we were little, our parents would make us this drink when the weather gets too hot, when we have fever or sore throat. I guess it was the only way to get us to drink something which benefits the recovery withouth using force. They definitely had enough of the forcing, the persuading with the unpleasant medicines there!

Salted Lemon Drink
Ingredients:
1 preserved salted lime
4 tbsp of the salted lime brine
2-3 ice cubes
1 cup luke warm boiled water
1 tbsp white sugar
Directions:
4 tbsp of the salted lime brine
2-3 ice cubes
1 cup luke warm boiled water
1 tbsp white sugar
Directions:
In a serving glass, stir warm water and sugar until sugar dissolves. Add the brine. Cut the lime and squeeze in the glass, scoop out the lime carpels off its segment as much as you can. Mix well. Add ice cubes et voila!
*Omit the ice cube if you drink it to cure sore throat or when you have fever.
Happy Wednesday!
